Baingio Pinna has created motion illusions with diamonds that have white and dark borders. Here we show a Pinna diamond with the luminance of its center modulating in time. Click on the chain and polygon buttons to see the effect of arranging the diamonds as elements in more complex displays.
What to notice: The diamond appears to shift position in synchrony with the modulation. The chain and polygon variations of the illusion are so dramatic that it is easy to forget that the lines never change their position on the screen.
When observers approach the image keeping their eyes on the center of the image, fireflies of blue light appear to escape. Then, some or all of them appear to extinguish (Troxler effect).
Keep staring at the blue dot in the middle of the picture. The blue dot will shrink slowly and then disappear completely ! This is due to the color receptors in your eyes getting tired.
When observers approach the image keeping their eyes on the center of the image, circles of blue light appear to escape. Then, some or all of them appear to extinguish.
Keep staring at the black dot in the middle of the image for sometime and you will see the light blue colored box getting disappeared and getting mixed up with the Gray Part. Please post the detailed reason on this,i'll be thankful.
Stare at the black dot for 20 or 30 seconds. Just concentrate this is amazing.Did anything change to lift that grayness, or was it just a shift in your mood?
This Illusion is really so amazing.Look at the center of any one yellow dots for awhile, and bit concentrate. After awhile the other yellow dots will disappear, maybe only for a little time, only one or two dots disappear.
Keep staring at the blue dot in the middle of the picture. The blue dot will shrink slowly and then disappear completely.Check out the similar illusion.
Stare at the red dot at the centre of the image to the left for at least 30 seconds, then take a look at the right square . You will see the right square getting faded out and also flickering. You should also try moving your head closer and further away from the monitor while keeping your eyes on the centre and you will see some additional effects.
Stare at the white dot in the centre of the red circle. The longer - the better (two minutes and you’ll get a much stronger effect). Always try to keep focused on the white dot. It’ll be worth it.
Soon after staring, you’ll start to see a thin rim of light around the edge. Don’t stop staring though yet! Wait another minute - keeping your head perfectly still.
Once you’ve done this, very slowly - move your head backwards - making sure to keep your eyes focused on the dot at all times. The circle’s rim will glow brilliantly with true Cyan! Keep on moving your head slowly backwards, and witness the Eclipse of Mars!
